A Community Advisory Board (CAB) including multi-ethnic women, health care providers, and community leaders will guide the research. CAB activities include:

  • Facilitating recruitment and retention of study participants
  • Assuring the community relevance of all aspects of the study
  • Identifying and assist with collaboration of community sites for study recruitment for this study and potential future work
  • Using community networks to facilitate recruitment, study conduct, and dissemination
  • Designing qualitative interviews
  • Participating in interpretation of the data
  • Disseminating results to community members, leaders, health care providers as appropriate
  • Contributing to dissemination activities as desired
  • Determining next steps for future research and dissemination of the findings to relevant communities
